Development of skills projection models in the South Mediterranean region – NET-MED Jeunesse

The UNESCO project aimed to promote the civic participation of young people through the strengthening of the capacities of collaborative networks of youth organizations in three key areas: youth policies, media and training and youth employment. Specifically, in the field of youth training and employment, the Consultant supports beneficiary countries in setting up a national skills forecasting model to provide training better aligned with the skills required for the job market.

Support for the implementation of the competency-based approach with a focus on promulgating the entire FPT system

The project included operational technical assistance in the restructuring of training courses in the following departments: hotel and tourism, textile and clothing, crafts, agriculture, tertiary and IMMEE. Structuring technical assistance aimed at strengthening the vocational training system with a focus on broadly implementing the skills-based approach.

Evaluation study of the quality of vocational training provided by the systems managed by the training departments of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Tourism and Crafts

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the training system and propose a strategic plan to improve the quality of training provided by the training departments of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Tourism and Arts and Crafts. The evaluation covered the following aspects: establishments, trainers, programs, equipment, selection/orientation of trainees, pedagogy, evaluation of trainees' achievements, management of the establishment, and relations with the socio-economic environment.

Development of a communication strategy aimed at promoting functional literacy in the agriculture and maritime fishing sectors.

The project aimed to stimulate economic growth by strengthening the links that exist between the craft sector, the cultural, historical, and architectural heritage of the Medina of Fez and the tourist sector. It also included cross-cutting actions to support production with the overall objective of increasing the incomes of craftsmen in the regions of Fez and Marrakech. Thanks to an increase in production capacity there was an improvement in the quality of handicrafts, an improvement in production techniques, and a modernization of the production tools.

Production Support – Second Stage Recruitment of a consultant for the implementation of the project

The project aimed to produce tools for planning and managing the employment and training market in the trade and distribution sector by 2020. The development of the Master training plan was divided into three main phases: Phase 1: Completion of a Sector Study and a Benchmark study (France/Canada). Phase 2: Completion of 10 WSA (Work Situation Analysis) and 21 REM and REC sheets. Technical assistance for the creation of a training cycle for trainers in the hotel and catering industry at the International Higher Institute of Tourism of Tangier (ISITT)

The mandate of the project was to develop a training course for trainers in the tourism sector to fill a shortage of technical trainers in the hotel and catering industry and to professionalize the profession of trainers to meet the educational standards in place. The project was designed around four specific objectives: Objective 1: Design the training course for trainers. Objective 2: Produce support for the training course for trainers (tools by sector Kitchen/Accommodation floor and Accommodation reception/Catering). Objective 3: Provide training for trainers in Kitchen, Restaurant and Accommodation (floors and reception). Objective 4: Evaluate the training and certify the human resources trainers.

Study relating to the development of the Master plan for training specific to the Electronics profession by 2015

The project's purpose was to carry out a study relating to developing a Master plan for training specific to the Electronics profession by 2015. Specifically, the tools for planning and managing the market employment and training in the Electronics sector by 2015. The development of the Training Master Plan was divided into three major phases. Phase 1: Completion of a sector study and a Benchmark study. Phase 2: Realization of WSA (Work Situation Analysis) and REM and REC sheets. Phase 3: Development of the Master training plan.

Development and implementation of a professional training system in the Automotive sector

The purpose of the project was to design and implement a vocational training system in the automotive sector. The project was divided into three main phases. Phase 1: Project preparation and results-based management workshop. Phase 2: Development of training planning tools. Phase 3: Implementation of the training plan.

Training time optimization project

The project was aimed at the optimization of the duration and paths of vocational training for the specialization and qualification levels as part of the implementation of the strategic orientations of the vocational training system which aimed to rationalize and harmonize the training offers between the different training operators. The project also looked at the reduction of training costs by optimizing the use of the human and material resources necessary for the implementation of a training program and the increase in the number of beneficiaries of vocational training.

Technical assistance for the development, adaptation, and implementation of apprenticeship training programs according to the skills-based approach in the crafts sector

The mandate aimed to restructure the training offered in the Crafts sector through the development, adaptation and implementation of training programs developed according to the competency-based approach in the Crafts sector including the different areas of craft activity (Leather craftsmanship/ Textile craftsmanship/ Woodworking/ Metalwork/ Stone and Earth work). This major phase of program production and development (18 programs) was followed by an important stage of implementation within 4 apprenticeship training centers (39 programs implemented) and support for the management and structuring of the centers to make them pilot centers operating in APC.

Support for education reform through the competency-based approach (REAPC)

The project aimed to strengthen this approach at all levels of the vocational training system, to better meet the needs of the job market and to align globally with a sustainable development approach in Morocco.

Preliminary study on the improvement and standardization of examination systems and the development of a computerized item bank

The main objective of the project was to improve the national examination system, in particular its standardization concerning the construction and validation of measurement tools of a certification nature. At the same time, this project aimed to develop and deliver item banks in a final and usable form in each of the following subjects: Arabic, French, mathematics and science.

HR support for the Ministry of Tourism by updating job and skills benchmarks and training establishment trainers and managers

CIDE was involved in updating the current sheets of the Repositories of Jobs and Trades and the Repositories of Jobs and Skills of the sector, as well as in the development of new sheets for new trades, the fulfillment of an assessment of the training needs associated with managerial and administrative skills within the establishments of the Ministry, the achievement of a training engineer to develop a cyclical plan of continuous training of the trainers of the establishments and the operationalization of the plan.
