Development of skills projection models in the South Mediterranean region – NET-MED Jeunesse

The UNESCO project aimed to promote the civic participation of young people through the strengthening of the capacities of collaborative networks of youth organizations in three key areas: youth policies, media and training and youth employment. Specifically, in the field of youth training and employment, the Consultant supports beneficiary countries in setting up a national skills forecasting model to provide training better aligned with the skills required for the job market.

Study on the impact of industrial restructuring on employment and vocational training

The project covered 3 studies. The impact of restructuring on employment and vocational training needs, the development of in-company training and the participation of the private sector in vocational training, and the methodology for an information system on employment in the context of industrial restructuring. These studies were used to prepare a request for a loan from the World Bank in the sector of vocational training and employment.

Generalization of the skills-based approach

The project focused on structuring technical assistance and operational technical assistance for the vocational training system with the desired outcome of ensuring the generalization of the skills-based approach.

Follow-up of trainees according to the skills-based approach – PRICAT RELANCE

The project focused on the follow-up of trainees according to the skills-based approach following the Pricat – Skills project which ended at the beginning of 2000. The project was designed to enable the Tunisian Agency for Vocational Training to put in place part of the system for evaluating the training provided with programs developed in terms of skills.

Higher Education Reform Project – ISET Component

CIDE's mandate in this project was to support the creation, implementation, and management of the network of Higher Institutes of Technological Studies (ISET). The scope of the project included guidance on the development of the system, the definition of the educational and administrative regime, the development of the training program for future teacher technologists, training in Tunisia and Canada of future teacher technologists, development of teaching programs for ISETs, technical assistance to ensure compliance of plans and specification with training needs and the acquisition of the equipment required to provide training according to the needs of the labor market and the Ministry of Higher Education.

Development of distance learning course content for Linux and OpenOffice software

The objective of this technical assistance was to provide the training department of Tunisie Telecom with distance training content for Linux and OpenOffice software (offline and online) and to integrate this content into a teletraining (dynamic web application).

Acquisition and implementation of a distance learning platform

The project aimed to assist Tunisie Telecom in the development and implementation of a distance learning platform offering synchronous and asynchronous models. The e-learning platform made it possible to provide learners (Tunisie Telecom staff) with online courses which help facilitate discussion forums, organize course schedules, carry out and manage assessments, manage training paths, manage learners, manage teachers and tutors, manage training content, etc.

Implementation of an e-training space at CENAFFIF

Technical assistance was provided to CENAFFIF for the establishment of an e-training space. The main objective of the project was to develop the skills required to set up, manage and feed an e-learning space developed with free software.

Study on “FAD” distance training on the Internet

The mandate was to support the development of distance education models on the Internet to respond to the increase in student clientele. The activities of the project included: the establishment of the profile of the ADF on the Internet in Tunisia, a proposal to the MES on the possible direction and the identification of the main parameters of a national strategy of ADF on the Internet, the fulfillment of an inventory of the courses of action and possibilities of partnerships in FAD with Canadian institutions and companies, the planning and achievement of training courses and visits to Canadian institutions and companies.

Creation of a national environmental awareness and education center

This project aimed to identify and implement a new and sustainable approach at the national, regional and local levels of education by integrating the "Environment" component into the teaching programs of primary and secondary levels. This new Environmental Education program has made it possible to develop the knowledge and skills of primary and secondary school students and to produce new values ​​and attitudes that are essential for the sustainability of a movement towards a better quality of life and environment.
