Project to strengthen technical education and vocational training

The project aimed to quantitatively and qualitatively enhance technical education and vocational training in certain niches, as well as to strengthen institutional capacities for administration, planning, management and steering of the vocational and technical training system.

Institutional Strengthening Program in Technological Matters in Francophone Africa (16 countries)

The PRIMTAF II program aimed to address two priorities of the Canadian development assistance program: good governance and private sector development. It sought to support more rigorous management of public vocational and technical education and training institutions, as well as skills development, to better meet the qualification needs of the target countries. In this context, CIDE was mandated to administer and monitor the program and to act as a technical advisor to the Canadian and African institutions involved in project implementation.
