Implementation of a sector study of the labor market in Iraq and Kurdistan

The project comprised several interrelated interventions, including the development of a decentralized governance model and a national qualifications framework for the TVET sector, the development of a new curriculum framework, the development of demand-driven programs in certain disciplines, providing training for TVET teachers, trainers and management staff, creating standardized collaborative frameworks with employers and facilitating school to work transitions for TVET graduates. This component aimed to provide education of TVET decision-makers and actors with the information needed to minimize the discrepancy between labor market demands and training provisions.
