Training of human resources through skills in the training schools of Ceará
The project's objective was to promote knowledge exchange between Brazil and Canada regarding training and human resource management in the health sector. This collaboration aimed to strengthen the skills of state and municipal staff to support the national policy of decentralization and continuing education within Brazil's Unified Health System (SUS).

Vocational training and institutional support program in the northeastern region of Brazil
The project aimed to ensure the management and monitoring of the vocational training program and institutional strengthening for human resource development in the Northeast region of Brazil. The program comprised three components: industrial chemistry and instrumentation (processes and controls), agri-food technologies, and training in the wood and furniture sector.

A toy library for you
In partnership with the Secretariat of the World Organization for Early Childhood Education (OMEP), CIDE has carried out projects in the Latin American region aimed at extending a community-based toy library model in disadvantaged neighborhoods in Colombia, Panama, Brazil, Mexico and Honduras while integrating Canadian expertise on play, the classification of games and toys as well as the use of recycled materials seen as play objects.
