Creation and implementation of a Labor Market and Technical-Professional Training Observatory<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The project aims to provide the National Institute for Technical and Vocational Training (INFOTEP) with an effective tool for forecasting the demand for skilled human resources and strengthening its capacity to plan its training programs. The establishment of a Labor Market and Technical and Vocational Training Observatory will enable INFOTEP to analyze labor market trends. The objective is to continuously analyze: the national economy; labor market trends worldwide and in the Dominican Republic; unemployment and its composition; the needs of Dominican businesses; and the evolution of science and technology and its impact on employment, as well as its implications for education and training. Thus, the creation and implementation of an Observatory should contribute to offering better opportunities, as well as increasing the productivity and competitiveness of the productive sectors and human capital of the Dominican Republic to solvetiably face the challenges of globalization and the new requirements of the organization of work and the labor market in the face of IR 4.0.<\/div>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Modernization of the INFOTEP Labour Market Observatory<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
CIDE supported INFOTEP in strengthening its Labor Market Observatory by updating the Labor Market Information System (SIMT), integrating new sectoral and professional analyses, and developing dissemination and decision-support tools. The project also facilitated enhanced collaboration with priority economic sectors and the production of strategic publications on employment and skills trends in the Dominican Republic.<\/div>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
