The UNESCO project aims to promote youth civic participation by strengthening the capacities of collaborative networks of youth organizations in three key areas: youth policy, media, and youth training and employment. More specifically, in the area of youth training and employment, the consultant supports beneficiary countries in establishing a national skills forecasting model to better align training with the skills required in the job market.<\/div>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n The project focused on monitoring trainees using a competency-based approach following the Pricat \u2013 Competencies project, which ended in early 2000. \n The CIDE's mandate in this project was to support the creation, implementation, and management of the network of Higher Institutes of Technological Studies (ISETs), including system orientation, definition of the educational and administrative framework, development of the training program for future technology teachers, training of future technology teachers in Tunisia and Canada, development of ISET curricula, and technical assistance to ensure that construction specifications met training needs and that the equipment required to provide training aligned with labor market demands.
