The creation of the Rosso Higher Institute of Technological Studies (ISET) aimed to support and develop agricultural, pastoral, and food technology activities by increasing skilled personnel and conducting applied research addressing issues related to the development objectives of Mauritania's rural sector. Within this framework, the CIDE (Center for International Development Studies) carried out a study that enabled the development of the Institute's training programs and the establishment of research management mechanisms.<\/div>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Development of a national classification of training sectors and a certification framework<\/div>\n

As part of this project, the CIDE reviewed and analyzed existing reference documents and studies in the field of employment, then proposed a classification of training specializations, and finally analyzed existing regulatory texts. The PRIMTAF II program aimed to address two priorities of the Canadian development assistance program: good governance and private sector development. It sought to support more rigorous management of public vocational and technical education and training institutions, as well as skills development, to better meet the qualification needs of the target countries.
